Overview
Zinsser Grade 1 is a high-performance paint ideal for interior walls and ceilings in traditional and historic buildings, including churches, period properties and castles. This solvent-based paint has a vapour-permeable film which allows the surface to breathe whilst giving you a mould resistant surface. A primer, sealer, and finish in one, Grade 1 requires no washing down and no additional primer. The finish gives you resistance to cracking, flaking, and peeling and contains a biocide to protect the dried coating against fungal degradation

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry, sound, and free from any dust or possible contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.

Note: Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960 paint surface as they may contain harmful lead.
Application
Before applying we always recommend to test a small area of the surface to be treated to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
- Shake or stir well before application
- Apply using a high quality brush, roller or sprayer
- Ensure temperature is between 4° - 32°C
- Avoid working in direct sunlight, do not apply if wet weather is forecast
- Apply the first coat and allow to dry for 2 hours
- Apply a second coat, paint will fully cure in 7 days
